When you and I saw each other every day, our topic was not so much musical performance as software performance. But both are good.

I appreciate being included in your updates.

In my case, I am not beset yet with significant physical health problems. My problems are of the mind.

It sounds as though you are coping with your circumstances about as best you can.

I hope things get better for you.

Steven, thanks for the update. Your road is so challenging at the moment, please know that you are in my thoughts. Take care, be well my friend. And if you can give me a little advanced notice ( I am down to one car for my wife and I), I will get you groceries or drive you to an appointment. Thinking of you. Rich

Thank you so much for posting this update - I have been thinking about you. It sounds like you are doing an amazing job learning how to deal with this all. And I can't believe you're going to attempt Rachmaninov - I've been trying to play the piano more now too, and while I'm pretty good with Jesus Christ Superstar (because I've been playing and singing that since I was in middle school) I am barely muddling through Les Mis. All those key changes? Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to write this all out.

So good to get an update!! Glad you're chugging along, eventhough it doesnt sound easy!! One thought,,, could you do grocery delivery?? Know that's big right now,,but maybe a possibility. Please know that you are in my prayers and wish I lived closer to help in transporting and supporting you. You're a strong guy and know this isnt as life was supposed to be, but you've got this!! When you're feeling down, think about the good, carefree times back in Lincoln Ne at 1st Plymouth!! Those times, with your Mom too,,,,always make me smile!! Hang in there,,,,you've got this! Love ya, Shari Hecht Koelzer

Thank you, Steven. Wow, that took a lot of energy! Don't feel you have to do that all the time ... We are just glad to see that you are muddling through all this. I was very glad to see you at the SBMT Thursday Night readings.

I am the designated grocery buyer in this household, since Andy is 'too old' to go out. So I'd be happy to be a grocery buyer for you as well some time. You can message me on FB or send email or call my cell. And I'm happy to chat via phone or Zoom (or gee, even 'old stuff' like Facetime!) ... Oh yeah, I can tell you my Roy Zimmerman stories.

Take care. You have many people out here rooting for you.

Steve - it was GREAT to see your face among the many at SBMT's "The Princess Bride" last Thursday. I truly appreciate all the news you shared. You are right, while we would all be entertained by a witty, thoughtful entry, more than anything, I really just want to know how you are and what you're dealing with so I can figure out how to provide support. I'm up for a video chat when time permits (I'm still working full-time despite COVID-19 as the entire 124-person team I manage is "essential" and I'm now home schooling my kids for at least 2 - 2 1/2 hours per day - sheesh, I'm not busy...!). I would love to offer a ride somewhere time permitting. If nothing else, a chat would be good. Also, you know I'm a pianist, too, and Rachmaninoff is my favorite! I, too, am teaching myself some lovely selections. The C# minor prelude op.3 #2 included! We'll have to compare notes! Miss you - take care!

Steven. I have great admiration for your grit. Your routines sound difficult at best and watching Trump on TV probably isn’t helping. I find that, after ten minutes of watching his press conferences, I get deeply depressed. Or outraged. Outrage is the word today as I learned that he is making 1,000 West Point cadets return to school so he can deliver a speech. They come back to New York from all over the country (imagine the cost!) and have to be quarantined for 14 days before they can go to graduation. I suspect he’s counting on this speech to bolster his number in the polls. I can’t wait to vote blue!💙

I like your bullet points! Makes reading so easy! And I’m delighted to hear that your treatment is working, though your upcoming schedule doesn’t sound like fun. I have a list of favorite films I can send if you’re interested. I am currently living in an all-Jewish (except for me) retirement home in Maryland. They closed it to visitors very early in the pandemic and out of the 200 plus people living here, we have no COVID-19 cases. Alec (Lex) and family drove up for my 80th birthday with their guitars, ukuleles, and banjos. They stood in the parking lot outside my 2nd-story apartment holding up a big Happy Birthday sign and proceeded to serenade me wearing face masks. Lotta Jim Croce. Alec soloed on Roller Derby Queen,

Thanks for the update. I think of you often and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you will get all of your strength back soon after your next treatment. Be strong! 💪🏽
