You are right, the brain adjusts. I've been helping my sister for the past 3-1/2 weeks with the aftermath of a right-hemisphere stroke. First week she said, "I have to keep reminding myself that I have a left side and that things exist on my left." But 3 weeks later ... the brain has begun talking to the left side. I hope your brain also does its amazing magic. My sincerest wishes for healing. Much love to you and to your family.
