Well, that sucks! Sorry you have to face this. Maybe I’m a lucky talisman, because my other friends who chose to share their stories on this site, are all recovered and doing great. Sending you every possible positive thought.
As I read your post, the image of you as a little boy (8ish?) lying on the floor in your house on Tolman Terrace reading an encyclopedia popped into my head. Awww, dang. Steve, know that friends far and wide are sending love your way. I’ve been on this site frequently for my sister who is a survivor of aggressive breast cancer. In the midst of upcoming uncertainty, keep finding opportunities to engage in the things that make your heart sing.
