Greetings All,

I hope everyone is finding some fun this summer!

Today marks 3 months since Steve's death. I provided a Y-Tube link to his most listed song. Time continues to march on. Life continues to hand me quite a mixed bag. I've experienced the passing of both a cousin and an uncle in the interim, and 2 ladies near and dear to me have received cancer diagnoses. I and several others I know have also had to say goodbye to beloved pets this summer. My condolences and prayers for everyone experiencing grief and loss at this time.

I wish I was able to host the wake I envision for Steve but present circumstances prevent such gatherings so I've pondered how to observe his passing. It occurs to me that a single commemorative event does not keep his spirit alive in the manner I wish so my request of you is to remember him yearly on his birthday, New Year's Eve - the last day of the year. Please reflect on this day and lift a glass to all those seen and unseen who have touched your life and passed on. Please pause to remember before starting another year.

Now for some of my good news, I received an early retirement package from work 2 days before I planned to resign in June. So glad they saw fit to give me extra incentive to move on! My last day is September 30 and I will continue to work from home for the duration. Currently I'm getting the house in shape to rent beginning in early 2022 and plan to travel for awhile.

I am recovering and healing. I started therapy again  - both mental and massage - to help with this process. I am a firm believer now that stress is not something to ignore. Please take care.

Love,
Caroline
