Hi Steve. I am so very glad to hear you are making such a good recovery! I only recently found out about your stroke when I happened to log into FB which I only do once every few months. I remember you as the smartest and kindest person in our school. Even though we have not seen each other since the last high school reunion I still think of you often. I know your intellect is only rivaled by your fierce determination and that you will soon be back doing what you love. My prayers and thoughts are with you old friend. I know I am far away in California but let me know if you ever want to just chat on the phone. It looks like you’re being well taken care of by your loving family but I sincerely mean it when I say please contact me if there is ANYTHING you might need that I could help with. Friendship is not limited by time or distance!!

Dan and family are definitely excited to welcome Uncle Stevie! For over 20 years I have hoped that Steve would come back to live in Chicago. Well, this isn't exactly what I had in mind, and of course it isn't permanent, but it will be great to have you around for a few months, Steve!

So glad to hear about your great progress. Just remember that sometimes rest will give your body a chance to heal and to relearn the motor patterns. Really happy your insurance will support you through this health situation. Lots of love and hugs!

Those ARAT score and time improvements are amazing! So glad to see that you're continuing to make great gains in that manual dexterity, and great strides (literally) in PT.
