Awww, I'm blushing from your kind words. We three are mighty lucky to have each other on our teams. Were the situation reversed I know you'd be doing the same. I wish you weren't on this adventure, but for as long as you are I'll be by your side, cheering you on. XOXO

Steven,

I was shocked to hear of your stroke, but I am convinced that the combination of your unsinkable grit and the prowess of the facility formerly known as RIC will speed your complete return to full mobility.

You mentioned your two siblings. “Hum Ho’ and ‘Cub Nut”, in your latest post. In my 13 years of teaching at OOJHS, a district that was rich in brilliant, high-achieving students, I encountered only two ‘hat-trick families’. Parenting is surely the most-difficult job in the world, so raising three children with creme de la creme personalities and intelligence is unbelievable. And in the case of the Lewis family, to do that as a widow is just astounding. You are truly blessed to have two extraordinary siblings.

I rummaged through what’s left of my memory cells, and I found a space reserved for Joan Colen. I remember a young lady who was very smart and exceptionally mature, and exactly the type of individual a teacher wants in a class.

Stay strong.

It is so good to hear of your progress and persistence. Michael didn't hit Athens to hard (thankfully), but your post is an even better start to the day. Sending our love. Eleanor and Gerti

You are doing great Dr. Lewis! Reading all these stories here makes us feel delighted that you are making progress.
Here we ( four of us at the moment) are studying Group Theory on our own and once a week we meet and discuss our questions and problems that we've encountered. So far we've had three meeting which were productive and I believe we would have plenty more till the end of semester. The way you taught us was so nice and encouraging that I don't get tired of studying and thinking about group theory.
