Steve! I was so sorry to hear about your stroke. My mom told me about it- somehow I missed seeing the Caring Bridge FB post! I am so glad that you are making great progress and that you are not nearly as impaired as you could have been. We are rooting for you to make a speedy recovery so you can get back to your life asap. prayers and hugs xoxo Julie

OK Steve (can't help myself, it's the mother in me) - for the times when you're NOT doing PT or OT, review this list of things that may or may not need attention. You've got a ton of stuff to concentrate on right now & you left home with no opportunity to prepare ahead of time. I've had past experience with a similar situation where suddenly a family member was totally incapacitated leaving behind a host of unspecified financial & social activities that needed to be handled.

First, there are the financial transactions that a homeowner deals with:
Property tax payment
Landscaper/yard worker payments
Monthly mortgage or auto payments
Any insurance premiums like car, homeowners, etc.
Invoices for cable, electric, gas, water, any other utility
Credit card payments
Do you get email notifications or snail mail bills? You may already have any or all of these things handled via automatic deductions, but if not you need to delegate interim responsibility.

Finally, are there any appointments already scheduled like dentist, vision, etc that need to be cancelled?
How about your snail mail? Is USPS holding or forwarding it? I know Craig had picked some up but not sure what it was or whether you've given any disposition instructions.

I'm not seeking your response back to me on this stuff. It's merely a laundry list of things you need to delegate or otherwise deal with. If it's a "been there, done that" kind of deal........well then I'll give you a "Laugh In" style "never mind".
