Family and friends,

This all stated back in October of 2019 when I noticed some blood in my urine. Fast forward through 8 minor surgeries to have non-invasive high-grade tumors removed. Being from MN the Mayo Clinic seemed like an obvious choice for a second opinion on a life threatening illness called cancer.

After consulting with the surgeon and care team we decided it was really the only choice at extending my life. 

On May 19th I went through a nine hour procedure to have my bladder, prostate and lymph nodes removed. The surgery was a success especially because I opted for an internal Neobladder as opposed to an external bag. I had a few set-backs which is not uncommon; multiple drains inserted into my stomach to remove fluid from the pelvic cavity, low grade fever was a result of e-Coli in my blood and urine which is very dangerous.

After eight weeks of recovery with the help of the medical team, support from my Dad and step-mom and my brother my bride Barbie who was amazing, Sean, Ashley and Jackie who looked after the house and all the gifts and cards that was overwhelming, I am back in Texas and back to work. I wish I had the time to thank the hundreds of people who sent thoughts, prayers and encouragement.  

Although I continue to recover and struggle some with energy I am about 90% back to normal. This is because of the power of prayer.

This will be your notice of the end of this site. Hopefully there wont be another day soon this type of venue to communicate will be necessary.
