Steve’s Story

Site created on December 12, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
As many of you already know, Steve underwent surgery on November 12th for a brain tumor.  He was subsequently diagnosed with Stage IV glioblastoma.  Steve posted the following on FB on 12/9:

Ok. My diagnosis is stage 4 glioblastoma. Prognosis (2 options). Option 1 is pain management treatment of 3-6 months. Option 2 is chemo/radiation which may give me up to 2 years max, along  with no guarantees of any kind of good quality of life. I've thought long and hard with family and close friends and chose pain management. Getting the best pain management team assembled is my choice. Quality over quantity is just seems the right call IMO.
I've been working with hospice the last couple weeks to work out the last details. I thought this was the best way to get this to the large amount of people left in the dark, but know I'm going through something serious. Not the best news, but it had to come out.
So lets get together and make the best of it. I'm not going anywhere yet, so this isn't a good bye letter. Peace and love from me to you,  who send me so much love.

Thanks to everyone for the continued support.  I have overloaded myself and need to slow myself down.  The headaches are overwhelming so please be patient.  I really want to see everyone and will, but at a slower pace.  Love to everyone!
