Chemo wen really well today. No nasty side effects so far. Am exhausted tonight only because I didn't sleep well last night and when into brain overload from all the information. A huge thanks for my neighbor Carol for taking me. She also is taking me back Saturday to remove the wearable chemo for 46 hpurs

I start chemo on 1/13 . Fortunately I can do my chemo at Franciscan Skemp in La Crosse WI which is 30 miles closer than Rochester. A close friend and neighbor has offered to drive me. The entire procedure will take 5 hours to do two of the three infusions. The third infusion will be done over 48 hours with a tiny pump attached to my port. It can be removed at my local hospital fortunately. Going into the first round a little nervous and anxious since I don't know what side effects might appear. Bringing a couple books with me to read to kill the boredom I'm sure I will encounter. On the plus side, the Cancer center in La Crosse is staffed by some amazing people.
I also had a strange dream the other night, my late partner spoke to me, telling me I will be alright. That has lifted my spirits so I am ready for this fight! As I told my doctors I'm a tough old Norwegian and I will be planting my own corn this spring!
