Epilog! It has come to this. The elements of your blog have led us through sometimes frightening and unchartered waters to a safer place to moor for now. Most of all, the captain of this ship - you - have artfully shown your past disease as "the beast" that can be tamed and that life can be richer for the experience. Your mind, body and soul entered into this journey and we have all been privileged to read about the entirety of the experience. I am astounded at how you wove your treatment decisions in an out of the protocols of medicine, sometimes the obedient patient and then choosing to take your own life into your hands and explore every option before committing your body to the ritual. It is the blend of one's mind, body and spirit that you have captured, along with the stark realization that a life threatening illness affects everyone close to you. I've read many accounts of patient experiences but I have never read one as you've prepared on these pages. Though treatment modalities change over time, it is the approach to being in charge of one's own fate, and crafting the outcome, that is so important. I do hope that there is a way to publish your writing so that others can also read it. As always, I know that you will let me know if I can help. Love,Bonnie
