Stephanie’s Story

Site created on June 10, 2019

Hello I’m Stephanie kane💔and this is my story. I was 14 years old when I found out I had a heart problem. Out of nowhere I had a heart attack my mom gave me CPR and brought me back to life. Since then I’ve been in and out of the hospital I had open heart surgery and that lasted for four years then my heart got really sick. So the doctors told me I needed a heart transplant I waited six months straight in the hospital for a heart then finally got one at 18 years old. I was super dumb and didn’t like to take my medication because I didn’t feel like myself So it made me go into heart rejection😞 I was on life-support for four days they were so kind and gave me another heart so I had a second chance it’s been four months now with my new heart. My new Heart is doing great! But now I’m back in the hospital with an infection on my leg because I have no immune system to fight it off I have to go into a 13 hour surgery soon to get all the infection out and if that does not work I might lose a limb. It’s been really rough for me because I just wanna start my life and go to school but all I can do is keep my head up and be positive💝 thank you for reading my story #stephsheart I set up a gofundme Account to help with medical expenses and for me to get back on my feet. You can go on Ways to help to find it!🥰
