Journal entry by Stephen Eberhardt

Ontario government pulls families apart further with child support laws. I am a blended family and have a child with another woman named Rachel Chatman Begg. She is now 18 years of age. Her mother kept her from me while she grew up and I paid all my child support. My child never knew me. I was working pay check to pay check. I wasn't able to get legal aid to fight for my daughter, and if I quit my job then I go to jail for not paying support. Child support should have stopped at 18. She went back to high school part-time and I paid support for that year too. I was just in court in October and now I am expected to pay more support and 50% of her tuition for university.  The mother has raised this child to hate me. I am currently married with two other children 6 and 13. We had to take them out of thier extra curricular activities such as ballet, Tap and Jazz for the girl. We had the boy in a mathnasiam course which he loved. Thanks to these government laws saying g I have to pay for university I have no money and the courts, my daughter (Madelyn) and her mother (Rachel)don't care that I have other children. She was finished high school in 2016 and when I applied to stop child support her lawyer told them about these laws and wanted to enforce them. The problem is that I am not with the mother of my child. Why do parents who are together not forced to pay university right away, why do I have to go broke, I mean Rachel was never the one who applied for child support, the welfare office did. To this day if they hadn't would I have ever known I had a daughter? I spent $30000 to be told I am paying child support and when she turned 18 I had to pay another $14000  to be told I am still paying and more...
I am so broke and they get legal aid no problem. My outcome was more then my income and they don't care I don't qualify for legal aid. Something is wrong with our child support laws. My kids now hate my daughter Madelyn and Madelyn hates me and I hate the Mother Rachel. I should of been elegable for legal aid and want my money back for the lawyers I paid . $34000. This ordeal is not right and should not be aloud.
