Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Steve was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer back in October. He had lost alot of weight over the summer and was at work and felt ill. He went to the first aid office and was sent to the hospital in Branson, Mo. After a bunch of testing, they reveled a tumor in the lung, a mass the size of a softball in his abdomen.  After biopsies of the lung and abdomen, he was diagnosed with Lung cancer that had matastised into the abdomen and surgery wasn't an option.  He had decided to start Chemo at that point. The 30th of December he had fallen at home and was readmitted back into the hospital.  We were told that the cancer has spread to the brain and has taken over most of the left front lobe. The next night he had fallen again and we were told that he had a TIA which is a mini stroke. It affected his right side. The neurologist came in that next morning and told him that he didn't think that chemo was going to do any good at that point. He reccomended starting radiation. We made the decision to not start any treatment and  being him home with hospice.
