Stephanie, Bryan & Asher ’s Story

Site created on July 20, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website for our beautiful baby boy Asher Gabriel Epstein. Born on 7/18/21 at 10:32 9lbs 15oz 22.4 inches long (big boy!). He got Meconium Aspiration Syndrome which is very serious. MAS is where he aspirates meconium in the womb and his lungs were totally inflamed and coated with it. This happens in 5% of babies. He went right to the NICU after being born to get the best care possible. He was in the NICU in isolation on life supportive treatment called ECMO (heart lung bypass) for around 6 days. He went through ECMO surgery on 7/19/21 and got off ECMO on 7/26/21. Now he is out of isolation and progressing everyday in the NICU general population! This was the last form of treatment and it saved his life. Everyone’s prayers have been working!! We can’t thank you enough! Thank you for visiting our page and we love you all and will keep you updated
