Stan and Nancy’s Story

Site created on July 8, 2020

Hello friends,
Stan and Nancy Clark are going through a very difficult journey right now. As many of you know, Nancy has had lupus for many years. Recently she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and was sent to MD Anderson in Houston. She is now in hospice care. Stan has been Nancy’s sole caretaker for the past four months while the medical team in McAllen, TX, where they have been living, struggled to determine a diagnosis. They have had a limited support system while in McAllen. Also, Stan, a psychologist, has had to continue to work full-time in a demanding and stressful VA clinic environment (further complicated by COVID-19) in order to maintain their health insurance. As one can imagine, he is beyond exhausted. If you know Stan, you know that simply walking has been a challenge for him all his life and he does not become exhausted easily. Stan and Nancy need prayers and encouragement.
