Spence’s Story

Site created on May 30, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Spence fell down the stairs on May 17,2018.. Cindy was leaving for work and heard him scream. The carpets are up in the basement and he hit the cement. The ambulance came and took him to Littleton hospital. He has bleeding on the front of the brain, fractured his forehead and was in a coma. He has 5 blood clots, pneumonia and a rough road ahead of him. After days he slowly started to responding to voice commands. Opening his eyes for a second, squeezing your hand or wiggling his toes. In a week he finally got his breathing tube removed. He has learned how to eat again, talk and slowly getting some of his memory back. The brain can block out traumatic events from your memories and he may never remember what happened or what's going on. But God has  blessed him with a lot of miracles. Cindy, Andrew and Elizabeth were with him through 2 weeks of ICU. Surrounded by love prayers and support from all of you. Thank you and he will make it through with God's healing hands. Please keep the prayers coming. Blessings!
