Soulene’s Story

On November 30th our sweet 17 month old Soulene was admitted to the hospital and we soon learned that she had contracted meningitis. While we continue to work with medical staff to determine the cause, we are clear that the road ahead will be deeply challenging for our family.  We are using this site to reduce the strain on our family in responding to texts and calls and to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement and love. Thank you for visiting.

Hello everyone. It is with tremendous sadness to share that last night Soulene passed away after battling a fast and unforgiving form of bacterial meningitis. She went peacefully, held in her mother's arms and surrounded by loving family.

Now more than ever, we wish to support Sakile and her family. The GoFundMe is still active and we appreciate any contributions you can make.
