In May of 2019, Sophia's life was forever changed as she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the pelvis. The type of sarcoma that she has is rare. She is being treated at Dana Farber in Boston, MA. Sophia's therapy is grueling and requires lengthy and numerous visits to Dana Farber and local hospitals. She is hoping that the treatments work well enough so that she can have surgery in the fall.
