Sue and Lynne Torrey and Henderson|Jul 18, 2020
I will be attending with my mother, Lynne Henderson who is very hard of hearing. We both know and love Stephen. I will be muted and will try to share with her all offerings made during Stephens memorial. She always wanted me to give Stephen a hug for her when I saw her, so I would stretch up on tiptoes to do that.

Dear David,
Thank you for your gentle handling and care for Stephen.
It was an honor for my Family and I to care for his eyes for over 30 years.
Appreciated his jovial smile and loyal giant kind heart, was fortunate to get to know him over the years .
When he first presented with unusual vision concerns and we addressed his visual fields results he maintained brave courageous hope
He had a gifted natural way to illuminate a room despite times of uncertain adversity .
Will be so missed ,
David

David, thank you for keeping Stephen’s friends in the loop. I took Stephen’s place as the AVP (Alternatives to Violence Project) Prison Coordinator for the largest women’s prison in California Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla. Due to COVID, none of us can enter the prison. Needless to say, when I finally was able to Arrange for the chaplain to meet individually with the 22 AVP facilitators Stephen had trained, they were devastated. A few have requested to write notes to the family. If I collect them, may I mail them to you? If so, my email is lydiamccloskey9@gmail.com . Please send instructions. In peace, Lydia
