Hi Camper,
Fresh air! Neighborhood tour! Fresh clean clothes! = Happiness
Good equation.

Oh, Stephen, you are a gift that keeps on giving to those 'essential workers' around you. The drivers that have met you before must be so glad to see you on their schedule again. And the first timers are no doubt looking forward to another encounter. I agree with you about getting dressed in real clothes makes us feel more human. Lots of folks in this 'shelter at home' phase hang out in their pajamas all day. Not me, I feel ever so much happier when I've gotten dressed in matching pants and top, and a little lipstick, and I'm good to go, or rather stay. So you are an active participant in your healing team, and an encouragement to the rest of them. Keep on keeping on. Nothing but love, Mickey.

How we do take for granted a simple thing like breathing fresh air, until it is gone. And then it is the sweetest luxury one can imagine. I am so trapped at the computer most of the day, so a little time in the garden is an amazing blessing and adventure: watering a struggling new tomato plant; admiring the new growth of an Italian Big Leaf Basil; checking for buds on the Hummingbird mint; and dead-heading the roses so they will bloom again. Even washing the window was pleasant knowing that I would have a clearer view of the roses as they blossom and again through the next month.

Stephen, I am reading your message and responding by a combination of candlelight, flashlights and the light of my cell phone. The power went off on our block about 40 minutes'ago. We had just finished dinner. Charlie went straight to bed. I am sitting at our dining table with Angel. I have no idea why the power went off: 2nd time in the past few months.
I think your daily routines give you a chance to feel less "stuck" in the hospital. I am glad you have such friendly, kind people caring for you. Keep up your amazing spirits! Love, Marian and family

Stephen, you are the essence of resilience, gracious gratitude and humor! We can all learn so much from you in this bizarre moment of plague and angst. You're so right that a little gratitude and recognition goes a long ways for our "essential workers", whether they be the drivers that take you to your radiation treatments or the guys repairing the sewer on my street. Your spirit is what will bring you through this, and probably bring a lot of us along with you :-} Sending lots of love, Barbara

It is great to think of you enjoying driving through your neighborhood and enjoying an outing five days a week! Sounds like this is at least as important as the radiation therapy. Sending love and Light,
Shan

So nice to hear about the special people whom you make into instant friends, because that's who you are...a person who validates with complete sincerity and love, the people with whom you interact. Those good return vibes from those people is invaluable. Love you. Lee
