Dear dear Stephen,
My heart kind of stops when I read your messages. You are such a precious person, to paraphrase some great character, maybe Winnie the Pooh. I trust that you know how much people love and care about you and that we are collectively holding you in so much Light you are in danger of sunburn! (LOL). I'm glad Damon is allowed to visit and to raise questions that need to be raised. Please let Damon know that we are there for him as well.

Wow. It so much for you to have to take on. I know there are a lot of loving folks around you. I am thinking of you daily. on that note. Never criticize someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you'll be a mile away, and you'll have their shoes.

Hi, Stephen: So sorry to hear about the setback. I hope it's comforting to know that many people go two steps forward and one back in the course of treatment. Also, your positive attitude helps. Not for the first time, you are an inspiration. Thinking of you and holding you in the Light up here in Humboldt!

Stephen, what a blow to learn the tumor is active, what a boon that Damon realized you were off your metaphorical stride so that treatment can begin before you used your strength and other resources to travel home and back again. I am so thankful and delighted for your having a young family in your life,
and I send love and Light to all of you.

I was glad when I read an announcement of your illness and a link to this site in the bulletin of University Meeting, where we have had the gift of your occasional presence and where your parents are such beloved anchors in our community. I know more Friends are holding you and them than write about you here.

Good that you will start treatment sooner—the sooner to quiet the tumor and its impact on your beautiful mind. Loved seeing you bounce back this morning as you were feeling the love and prayers that surely will continue to be there for you.

Holding you in my thoughts, in my heart, with tears of empathy, as you navigate this latest setback. All who were gathered for online worship through Quaker Center this morning were holding you in the Light and in our prayers.

Dear Heart: All our prayers are with you, as you know. And one of the good parts of that is that it means you are also with us. So much love
