Stephen, my Thurs stroll was the 1st time down Golden Gate for weeks due to perpetual road work. I could see clear down to Larkin to where you should be standing. A few bikes to rent, graffiti decorated black door, Coffee place boarded up, Philz looked viable; however, it was 10 degrees cooler than yesterday so I just headed home to shelter in place. You, too, are sheltering in place as you rehab. Keep the faith. Love, Lucille
Stephen, are you able to read or interested in reading right now? Do you have a book you'd like to read? I ask because I would be happy to order a book for you. We are trying to support our local independent bookstores during the shutdown. We're doing a book order today. Please let me know. I send you love and prayers! Marian
No way can you say "you're not special," Stephen. You are extremely special. I just keep remembering that this delay allows you to concentrate on your rehab which will serve you well in the long run. And from what you tell us it sounds like there is steady progress. You continue to astound me. Sending love and all those emojis...
"So I guess I'm not special." Bah! Nonsense, I cry! And here I thought the tests and rehab had not fundamentally altered your brain, but now I have my doubts.... BUT, then again, if a clear notion of one's specialness must needs come from outside, then hear this clearly from all those reading and commenting on your reports: You, dear f/Friend, are special. You may not be normal (boooorrrring!) but you're special.
I so appreciate these updates, Stephen. Glad you seem to be very immersed in your therapy sessions. Patience seems to be one of the key words here. But once the diagnosis is complete, as you said, it will result in the most appropriate treatment plan. Sending love from Atlanta. Please know you are in my healing prayers every day.
