Happy Easter, Stephen! And happy you can attend meeting. La Jolla friends are holding you in the light via zoom. So nice to be back in the loop of things without needing to drive for an hour. Been thinking of attending Meetings that I have visited or have friends from via zoom (after asking, of course). Love your appreciation for the small things (floral masks and all) among all the uncertainty. Big hug to you.

hi stephen, always appreciate hearing from you. you are an amazingly upbeat person through all of this, but i already know that's just you. so appreciate our enduring friendship. yes, it's easter and being a planner i had already purchased a chocolate bunny and chocolate/peanut butter eggs for steve pre-covid (seems like many months now rather than 4 weeks). i put out silly little easter chicks like we all had growing up, etc. nic's fiancee sara sent me a photo of her dad "easter egg hunting" in his backyard, only it was cartons of egg whites!! hahaha. anyway, love you and sending you positive energy every day.

Easter Blessings Stephen. Today I am reflecting on family and community. For as long as I can remember my parents hosted Easter Breakfast for Visalia Friends. For the last 35 years or so it was at Quaker Oaks Farm. This was a time my sisters and our children would all gather for a family reunion, working together to clean and set up tables and chairs on the lawn under the mighty valley oak, bright tablecloths and flower arrangements from the garden on every table, enough for over 100 guests. Visalia Friends and their extended families, then UU families (they also met in the Visalia meetinghouse, and my dad enjoyed their services and potlucks mightily) would bring a wonderful assortment of dishes to share. After breakfast spent catching up with all those loved ones who have known me most my life, and new acquaintances, we would rearrange the chairs into a large circle for meeting for worship. The day ended with Easter egg hunt for the kids, usually an easy hunt for the 5 and unders and a rugged hunt in the walnut orchard for older kids. Some years it was a group scavenger hunt for all ages in teams and clues taking them all over the farm. The final challenge was finding a way to equitably share the bounty of treats with all team members. Last year Visalia Friends carried on the Easter Breakfast tradition after my parents passing. This year it is cancelled of course, and it is the first time I have not been in Visalia for Easter that I can remember. I am moved by the power of traditions that unite us in community and care across the generations. You have created a strong and diverse community that clearly loves you. Blessed be.

Alleluia. If you can find it on YouTube, listen to the Royal Choral Society singing the Alleluia chorus in together from separate isolated locations . Quite wonderful. The only other time they did not sing this together at the Royal Albert Hall was during the London Blitz! Take good care, Stephen. Live your posts and love you. Blessed Easter.

Happy Easter, Steve. I am glad PT is not slowing down even during COVID-19, that way you should be able to return home sooner than later.

Abrazos y buenos deseos de parte mía y de Mariana.

Happy Easter, Stephen. I am so glad that you are able to have personal visits. It makes such a difference. Davis Friends traditionally have a Flower Exchange on Easter Sunday. We set up a low table in the center of the room and everyone who has access, brings flowers from their garden. After Meeting, we are invited to take home different flowers. Today we will see who was able to figure out how to get some flowers into their screen view. I set up a large vase of roses and my very loaded Easter cactus. Makes a pretty background.
Much love and virtual hugs, Julie

I’m glad you’ll be a part of SF online worship; count yourself in RFFM, also (10 am).
Much love, Superman!
