Skye’s Story

Site created on November 30, 2020

Skye was born 13 weeks early on Thanksgiving day and only weighed one pound.  She has a very tough road ahead, but she is a fighter.  We appreciate all of your love and support through this journey.  It is our friends and family that will help see Skye through this incredible journey.

*Just as a note the "tribute/donations" are just to the Caring bridge website to keep it up and running and something we can't take off.  Sometimes the wording is very confusing, but we're doing great and just wanted to use this site as a great way to keep everyone we love informed the best way we can.

Love you all ❤️

Happy St Patrick's Day!!!

And let me tell you, it was a crazy one!  Since Skye's massive movement yesterday, she has been doing better and better.  She had to do another room air challenge in order to prove that she was truly ready for the day we have been dreaming of.  Skye passed with flying colors and we got to bring her home!!!!!!!!!!  She has now met her furry sister and two of her grandparents!  I am writing this now from my couch watching squeaks take in her surroundings.

It has been 111 days since we met Skye on Thanksgiving.  It's only fitting that she comes home on another holiday.  Call it the luck of the Irish!  Again, I want to thank each and every one of you that helped us through this incredible journey! We love you all and can't wait for you to meet our precious little Skye!
