Dear friends and family,
I just wanted to let you all know that Mom, Dad, and I made the trip from DC to Destin yesterday morning.
Brendan and Ashley did an incredible job filling up the house with pictures and other touches to make it feel like a home. Mom and dad were very happy to get here. They've already enjoyed a lot of quality time with the grandkids. We had an amazing dinner last night with Allen and Dede (Brendan's in-laws). Dad had several speech therapy sessions last week, and continues to improve.
For those of you who've asked about their new address, here goes: 4491 Clipper Cove, Destin, FL 32541. It's a charming neighborhood, with kind neighbors and ample sidewalks. The Gulf is a couple of blocks down the street; the grocery store and pharmacy are even closer; Brendan and Ashley's home is less than 2 miles away.
I'm flying back to Honolulu on Monday morning. Thanks for all your help and support.
