On December 8, 2020 I was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma of the colon during a colonoscpocy to determine why my abdominal hurt.. A 9cm tumor was located by Dr. Clark Antonson. . in a week December 15th 2020 he had me meeting with Dr. Stephen Nagengast a general surgeon who he very strongly recommended. Did an initial consultation with him then went to see Dr. Scott Mcham the same day who gave us the recommendation to have the tumor removed as soon. a possible. So we scheduled surgery for December 23, 2020. In the mean time had a PET scan on December 18th, 2020. Then on December 23, 2020 Dr. Nagengast preformed a bowel resection started laperscopicy but transitioned to full open removing the tumor on my transverse colon and removing an additional smaller tumor he found on my abdominal wall also removing my Omentum during the process by finding the additional tumor verified that this was stage 4. Stayed in the hospital for 6 days was able to Skype and have a single visitor each day.
