This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve read. I especially loved the words “In spite of my immensely stubborn skepticism...” In the early days of grief (and while I say “days,” I mean “years”), it’s so difficult to believe we could ever possibly feel differently. Your words so poignantly paint what transpires as grief gently transitions to gratitude. What a blessing to be the mom of an angel; Sicily’s light shines through you. ❤️

You and your family are thought of often. Sicily, though I never met her, has a special place in my heart. Maybe someday I'll get the chance to meet her! <3 May you continue to live life to the fullest......that's how she'd want you to be. Love, Mary (Bauler) Butler, WHS Class of 1985

Beautifully written as always. I followed Sicily's journey and felt like I knew her and your family through your writings. May God continue to bless Sicily's soul and the rest of your family.

I think about you, Sicily and the rest of the family often. I am glad you are not only living but celebrating life as your sweet girl watches over you. You surely must be of great support to other Moms who are walking in your shoes.
