What a beautiful video! Elizabeth and Mary, you have honored your mom with so much love and respect which flows in each word you write and I know flowed through to your mom. Your mom and dad were such help when we moved to Louisiana and quickly became dear friends. Sherry was my best friend and such a comfort to me as I had never lived away from Victoria, TX. I would not have transitioned as easily if it were not for Sherry. So many fun memories of playing Contract Rummy! We still play that game! That is only one of our sweet memories as there are countless others! Sherry and I attended a Bible study group together and I will always be grateful she told me about this group of women. It is so true that your mom left her mark on those she met - it is a mark of love and compassion. What a blessing and privilege it has been for KC and I to know your mom. Our love, prayers and sympathy are with each of you.

Mary and Elizabeth, I have such wonderful memories of your mom. She was always so nice to me and other friends of yours, always happy to host kids and provide a fun and supportive environment for us. I know how much she loved you. I am so sorry she has passed away. I will continue to remember her.

Where to begin! I have so many great memories of Sherry as a second mom to me in junior high and school, I can picture her in the kitchen right now helping us make those yummy beignets! She was always there to shuttle us to school when we were too cool for the bus, to a dance, to the mall, Six Flags, and that one time at a Van Halen concert ;-) My favorite memory is when she and Chuck took a bunch of our high school friends on an RV road trip adventure to Florida, I will never forget it. They were the best chaperones and hosts, always giving us just enough space to have fun while keeping a close eye on our well-being. I always felt so taken care of in her presence, she was such an involved mom and would do anything for her daughters. She is the best grandma, mom and friend that anyone could ask for - we are all are so incredibly lucky to have shared life with her. I will miss you, Mrs. Keffer! Love, Julie

I’ve been reading all of.these messages and thinking about Sherry and all of us, Sherry, Chuck, Elizabeth, Erik, Tate and Megan and Mary. I always enjoyed Thanksgiving after Erik and Elizabeth married and Sherry and Chuck moved to Frisco. I love family getting together and those were great days for me. Last year was rainy and cold and Elizabeth and Theresa and Erik were cooking, along with Megan too, I believe. I went on a 3 or so mile walk and then Tate and I made the rounds, checking on the pets he was caring for. Once home we all got ready for dinner. Sherry always had a great dish or dishes as did Elizabeth, Theresa and Erik, so the meal was always a joy and memorable for me. I am sorry Sherry and y’all had to got through this, but that is the path we travel as humans. Sherry, Chuck, Elizabeth, Erik, Tate and Megan and Mary traveled it with dignity and love. If you can be proud in a situation like this, I am proud of all of you.

Such a perfect tribute to our beautiful, sweet, kind, generous and loving Aunt Sherry. We are all so blessed having known her. We knew how special she was the first time we met her because, as my sister said "she didn't even know our Uncle Duney's name." Yes, it was the first time we had heard anyone call him Chuck.🙂 We will miss her so much. Celebrating a life well lived. Sending much love and prayers to all of you.
