Sherry’s Story

Site created on March 3, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On February 21, 2021, after 10 days of declining health, we admitted Sherry to Hoag Hospital where we discovered a tumor in her brain. After major brain surgery to remove the 8.5 cm tumor, we discovered it was a Grade 4 Glioblastoma. The Harper fan club rose up to offer encouragement, love and many prayers, and to help launch us on this adventure of brain cancer. It's not a road anyone would choose to walk, but we know that Sherry (our beloved mom and Grammy) has the strength and support she needs to do it!

Hi Everyone,

I don't have the words to express how blessed we all felt this past weekend by your presence- both online and in person. Thank you for allowing us to share our mom's life with you. You have all played a part in it in some way and we are so thankful that you are a part of our community.

We have recordings of both services so if you missed either one, feel free to watch on your own time.

Celebration of life on Saturday:

Many people have asked us about a donation in mom's name. If you feel lead to do so, we would like to recommend the Brain Tumor Network. This wonderful organization helps to connect families with the right hospitals, doctors and clinical trials. They will help you navigate the insurance world and maximize your benefits as you fight this cancer. And they do this all for free! They were such a comfort to us when we first found out about mom's tumor and we would love to support them as they continue to help other families.

Thank you again and please keep in touch. We love you all!
