Sherrill’s Story

Site created on November 18, 2018

This is Sherrill, and I appreciate you stopping by this site. As most of you know, I am currently battling  stage four melanoma in my brain, lungs and lymph nodes. I am using this site to help keep everyone updated on this journey , as I know that I have a lot of friends, family and loved ones praying and fighting along my side. GOD IS GREAT! I also want to share information I have learned, and will continue to learn, to help others!

Newest Update

Journal entry by Sherrill Beyl

Good morning friends and family.

Sherrill is not able to update this site anymore, but wanted everyone to know how she is doing. I'm her husband, Dexter, and appreciate the love and support you all have shown us in the past months and weeks.

Last Friday night Sherrill lost mobility and feeling in her side. The was caused by the rapid growth of new tumors in her spinal cord. The past week has not been good, as one of her Doctors put it, the cancer has "hyper progressed" and is now unstoppable. The chemo treatments she had started last week just don't have the time to be effective.

Yesterday afternoon, our family was told that Sherrill had hours, maybe a few days left. She is resting comfortably and not experiencing pain at this time. Her medical team feels that she will slowly slip into a coma soon, and then go home to Jesus shortly after that. While we grieve the loss for ourselves, it is our prayer that Sherrill doesn't linger long, but soon is welcomed lovingly into His arms.

Sherrill is a wonderful mother and wife and friend. She loves each of you, and cherishes the moments and memories she had while on this earth. So many of you made her life truly special, and she felt love from so many in the past weeks and months.

I will try to update this site, once Sherrill passes. If there is anything you would like to know, or pass along, please feel free to email me at: dexterbeyl@gmail.com.

Again, thank you for your love and support.
