Sherri’s Story

Site created on December 26, 2021

Sherri was admitted to the hospital on December 23rd because she was unable to urinate and was losing feeling in her hands, feet and legs.  After several tests the doctors believe she has Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), however, they are running more test to rule out disk issues.

The numbness has progressed and has taken over her legs and torso.  She is unable to get out of bed and has a lot of nerve pain.  Yesterday she was able to move her foot a little bit.

Please keep Sherri in your thoughts and prayers.

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the long delay in between posts, its hard to get Sherri to make a statement. She is very thankful for everyones continued support.

Sherri is getting around with a cane and she is happy she has found new Physical Therapist and Practitioners that are helping significantly more then who she started out with, its been a big difference.

She continues to make slow improvements but she still has balance issues and numbness in lower body. She cant be on her feet for extended periods but she can cook some meals and run short errands.

She is excited for warmer weather and hasnt been a fan of how cold it has been this spring.

Sherri still has a GoFundMe set up to help with her medical/living expenses while she recovers: https://www.gofundme.com/manage/help-sherri-cleveland-get-back-on-her-feet/donations

Thank you everyone!
