William Sherman’s Story

Site created on April 19, 2021

On April 11th, Sherman was admitted to the hospital with COVID-19.  Sherman needed a higher level of care and therefore was transferred to Baptist hospital on Thursday.  Early in the morning on Saturday, Sherman had to be placed in a medical induced coma and placed on a ventilator as his conditioned worsened.  On Sunday morning Shermans kidney began to show signs of failure.  By Monday morning doctors decided to being dialysis.   Sherman is a fighter and his fighting this with everything he has.  The family ask for prayers at this time in the hopes that we we finally see some positive response.

A post from our mother:

My miracle son, Sherman, and his incredible kidney doctor,  meeting for the first time since Sherman’s discharge from the hospital Tuesday a week ago.  She cared for him for his 75 days in the hospital.  Dr Arias said she wanted a picture with Sherman after he was released.  He is her only surviving patient with Covid and dialysis!  She and all his doctors are totally amazed at his recovery.  Thanks to all who prayed for Sherman and traveled this unbelievable journey with Sherman and his family.  We will be forever grateful to each and everyone of you.
