Site created on May 26, 2020

Hi Everyone -

Before anyone reads the story and decides if they want to make a donations to Mom, please make sure to use the "WAYS TO HELP" tab.  The "Donate to Caring Bridge" tab will send donations to Caring Bridge.

This is a health update on our Mom, Sheree Schletzer. Yesterday morning (Memorial Day). Mom unexpectedly experencied seizures and had a fall at home.  Thankfully family was there to offer immediate help, and after swift response from the EMTs, she was quickly transported to Vanderbilt Hosptial for care. Mom was stablized in the ER, and moved ot the Neuro ICU and later underwent cranial surgery to relieve her brain from any foreign substances. The surgeons were pleased with her surgery and are very hopeful for a strong recovery.

The medical team is currently evaluating the cause of this isolated event, and we are awaiting test results to determine Mom's recovery timeline. During this unique time, the visitation policy at the hospital is very limited, however Dad is able to be with her 24/7 as she begins to heal.

As we continue to receive updates, we will be using Caring Bridge for sharing Mom's progress. We welcome you to use this platform to send uplifting messages and prayers for Mom.  As y'all know, Mom is a very strong woman and we are hopeful for a quick and smooth recovery. If you would like to help please go to the "Ways to Help" tab to find their GoFundMe.  Please keep Mom and Dad in your prayers.

Much love from all of us,

Journal entry by Sheree Schletzer

Hello Everyone!
I'm so happy to be able to write this journal entry.  I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the support that has been given to my family and myself.  I am blessed beyond measure with the outcome of everything and how I feel God truly was watching out over me.  The timing of things could have been so different.  I was minutes away from being on a bike ride and my husband just happened to be nearby or else he would have never heard me when I called. All of you have made me know how important it is to show compassion and support.  I can't imagine going through this alone.  It will make appreciate everything more and not to sweat the small stuff.  My family has all been so wonderful and has helped with my anxiety.  I love all the messages, text, calls and everything people have done.  I appreciate all of you so much!  Thank you all so very much!  I will never forget all the acts of kindness.  I go back to doctors next for repeat CT scan and to see the Neuro team and Neuro surgeon.  With love, Sheree
