Journal entry by Faye Schultz

Sheenea’s smile is as radiant as the sun. On October 22nd we got devastating news that she had a stroke.  She has always been a fighter and been there for everyone and anyone that has been in need of help.  She is the kind of friend that anyone would be lucky to have because she has the most caring heart. As soon as she recovers a little more she is going to be upset me for starting this page because Sheenea’s spirit and humility is all about giving and not receiving.

Sheenea is a single mother of three, ages 21,13 and 11.  Covid is making it very difficult for her and her family, she has not seen her children in person since her stroke.  She has always been the bread winner for her kids and now that she is in the hospital she has not been able to provide for them.

When she had her stroke, her daughter found her and called her Grandmother, who immediately came running to their home, 911 was called.  She was transported from one hospital to the other where she they had to remove the blood clot on her brain, which resulted in swelling.  This lead to her having another surgery the following day, in which resulted in the left side of her skull being removed.   On November 5th she was moved from the ICU into a Good Samaritan Home for therapy.  She is smiling and most definitely has her attitude back, but is still not able to write or speak words.  She has a very long road ahead of her, please keep her in your prayers!!!!
