Sheila’s Story

Site created on October 20, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. If you're hoping to give a word of support or find out how Sheila is doing, you're in the right place. We are using this profile to keep family and friends updated all in one place.  In  August,  Sheila was diagnosed with a form of uterine sarcoma. She had a successful robotic surgery (wow!) that she fully recovered from. The outpouring of love we have received since she got the diagnosis has been humbling. We truly appreciate all of your support, and hope this page helps to keep you informed.

Journal entry by Sheila Thieme

Hello everyone, this is Elana. I'd like to let people know that a table will be set up at the memorial today with a basket for donations to Sheila's favorite place on earth: Camp N-Sid-Sen. Located on beautiful lake Cour d'Alene in Idaho, N-Sid-Sen is owned by the United Church of Christ and hosts all sorts of groups. From kid's camp, to yoga retreats, to a free week long camp for siblings separated through adoption-- N-Sid-Sen is a holy place, cherished by many. A small donation can go a long way to a place like this, and will honor Sheila's memory beautifully as it combines her passions for supporting children and open and accepting Christianity. In addition to the basket at the service, I have provided a link to the N-Sid-Sen website where you can learn more, and make an online donation by clicking on "Click to Donate" and selecting "Friends of N-Sid-Sen Camp".
