Journal entry by Janey Ierubino —
The end is never easy, but Sheila’s passing was beautiful. Everyone had finished dinner and the girls had applied her makeup, tanning towel, lipstick and did her nails. She was dressed in a pink shirt that complimented her complexion. She truly looked beautiful. Within 20 minutes after her makeover she opened her eyes. Unable to speak, but you could see her soul in her eyes and sense that she understood. Everyone had the opportunity to say goodbye and then she was gone. No struggle, no pain, no shortness of breath, she was just gone, surrounded in the love of her family. We’re surprised it came so soon, but thankful she did not suffer.
