Sheila, this is wonderful news and I am so happy for you and your family. You do not know me, but I am a friend of Heidi's in Byron. Your last few posts have really resonated with me as I have cancer as well. I wanted you to know I was sitting in my house debating on calling for a tap last week and I read your post, ticked off the symptoms you listed, picked up the phone and got in, thank you for the reminder. I also wanted to encourage you to hang in there I have had about 36 taps over the past three years and am still going strong. I pray for you daily and will pray that the fluids is held at bay for your trip. I have been going about every 4 weeks for the last few years but managed to go 7 weeks this last time so I will pray for no fluid or a slow down of fluid. I know that everyone's experience is different but if you ever want to chat I would. Heidi can share my contact information with you or you can find me on caring bridge as well. God is with you and he is so strong.
