I have hesitated posting over the last couple of months because updates aren't necessarily positive. Unfortunately, Mom has come to the end of the road on rehab coverage with insurance. The current nursing home has noted that almost always, rehab is refused, and in fact, Mom prefers to stay in bed and not participate or even get in a chair to be able to get out of her room. If she isn't fighting to get better, there isn't much they can do. Ken let her know that the nursing home is taking her out of the rehab wing and moving her to a long-term room where she will receive no services, just be kept in the bed. 

We aren't sure what to do any more. We've tried tough love, we've tried support, we have tried to encourage her and tell her that we are still paying her rent and her car is still in its parking spot but she isn't motivated for some reason to actually do the work. Part of me wonders if she comprehends the connection between her refusing to work and not going home. 

If anyone is aware of services and can make an initial inquiry, it would be helpful. We have A LOT on our hands and aren't giving up but we need others to support and help if we all want the future for Sharon to not be a nursing home life. :)
