Newest Update

Journal entry by Jen Tiner

It’s been awhile since the last update. She’s had a couple of hospital visits and some ups and downs. Her status seemed to change dramatically day by day and it’s always so hard to write the right balance of reality but with hope and optimism.
Tuesday of this week she was moved to hospice. She was just in too much excruciating pain to keep going and a new tumor had formed according to the latest scan 2 weeks ago. What we feared the most has come true... she’s not responding to the treatment and the heart breaking decision has been made to keep her comfortable and cease any further chemo and radiation.
We don’t know how long she has but we are going to do everything we have to, to make sure she’s at peace and not in pain. She’s in a constant sleep now due to the sedation and although we know she is so incredibly loved we ask that everyone keep her in their thoughts and prayers. We ask that visitors be limited to close family and friends. Remember her for the incredibly kind hearted, smiling, and loving selfless strong woman that will live in our hearts forever.
