Welcome to Sharon's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Thursday (October 8th) afternoon, Sharon was driving around Brainerd, when she was pulled over. While talking to her, the police discovered that she was very confused, wasn't making sense, and couldn't find her way home. Although she was in Breezy Point area; she was requesting them to assist her to Mills Fleet Farm and she could handle it from there. She was brought to the Brainerd ER, where she was examined. The first scan showed concern so MRI followed; they found she had a 3 inch brain tumor. Unfortunately with COVID, family was required to wait in the parking lot, and David and Heather were the only two to see her. Sharon was then transported to Abbott Northwest for further management. Family had to wait until 10 am for visiting hours at Abbott and only 1 person could be there.

Encouraging news today as our Mom gets to start next phase of treatment. She will be doubling the oral chemo dose but only for 5 days and then 23 days off for a “cycle”. The last MRI shows some swelling on the brain so she will continue on meds and follow up with another MRI in a month.
