Welcome to Sharon's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Thursday (October 8th) afternoon, Sharon was driving around Brainerd, when she was pulled over. While talking to her, the police discovered that she was very confused, wasn't making sense, and couldn't find her way home. Although she was in Breezy Point area; she was requesting them to assist her to Mills Fleet Farm and she could handle it from there.  She was brought to the Brainerd ER, where she was examined.  The first scan showed concern so MRI followed; they found she had a 3 inch brain tumor. Unfortunately with COVID, family was required to wait in the parking lot, and David and Heather were the only two to see her.  Sharon was then transported to Abbott Northwest for further management. Family had to wait until 10 am for visiting hours at Abbott and only 1 person could be there.

New growth; chemo it is….

The time has come for another round of chemo.
The MRI scan today showed another spot of concern. The previous spot they were watching since January seems to be more bold (assuming stronger blood flow) and a second spot appearing now leads to another round of oral chemo meds. Always thankful Mom has options to continue treatment and a wonderful care team that is looking out for her!
