Journal entry by Sharon Callahan

Yes, the title is correct! I have every reason to celebrate, dance and jump for joy!  It only took about 2 1/2 hours after my scan for me to get a telephone call from my oncologist yesterday (I was honestly thinking I wouldn't hear anything for at least 24 hours).  The words on the report were "no abnormalities nor metastases" which in English means I am still "Cancer Free"!  :)  I can't begin to explain my happiness and gratefulness to my Almighty Healer.  You see, the type of cancer I "had" was angiosarcoma - you can google it and see that it's very nasty, aggressive, and with a strong tendency to recur.  And yes, my sky was falling and yet there were many silent prayers voiced on my behalf.  I am truly a modern-day miracle and give my God all the glory for my healing!!!

You know that I have to give a quote and cite a song that is meaningful to me today.  This quote is actually from Oprah Winfrey - "The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate."!  Amen to that!!!!

Todd Agnew sang this song in our church several months ago and it truly touched me - very fitting with the timing of my "awesome" news!  Hope it blesses you and your faith increases as mine certainly has over these past 15 months!

What Faith Can Do by Kutless

Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache, You think it's more than you can take
But you are stronger, stronger than you know
Don't you give up now, The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds, To find the silver lining

I've seen dreams that move the mountains, Hope that doesn't ever end
Even when the sky is falling, I've seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered, Broken hearts become brand new
That's what faith can do

It doesn't matter what you've heard, Impossible is not a word
It's just a reason for someone not to try
Everybody's scared to death, When they decide to take that step
Out on the water It'll be alright
Life is so much more than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way If you keep believing

I've seen dreams that move the mountains, Hope that doesn't ever end
Even when the sky is falling, I've seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered, Broken hearts become brand new
That's what faith can do

Overcome the odds, You don't have a chance
(That's what faith can do)
When the world says you can't, It'll tell you that you can!

I've seen dreams that move the mountains,
Hope that doesn't ever end

Even when the sky is falling, I've seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered, Broken hearts become brand new
That's what faith can do
