Shannon, I am nearing 70 years old. What I have learned from having friends younger and much older is this. Women are very resilient. Fear of cancer recurrence can be beat and you can let go of fear. I know so many women who had cancer, breast, included, who are my age now living their best lives. My daughter has MS. She has been through a lot in the last 7 years since her diagnosis. But she works for a wonderful mental health company who include lots of other types of practitioners like nutritionists, massage therapists, eastern practitioners. Along with her neurologist, she is managing and continues to travel in her work. So here is what I tell my daughter. Rest when you are tired. Change plans when you are not up to it. Listen to your body. Take good care of your body. Eliminate sugar. Talk to the pros who can guide you in nutrition. When you feel fear, and you will again and again, remember you are a powerful woman with resilience. Offer your fear up to God in a bubble and watch it burst as it reaches its destination. Feel the relief and happiness of the right here and right now. Thank God for it. Feel the joy. Look at your family, and smile. When you repeat this process every time you feel fear, soon the sessions of fear release their hold, and all that is left is joy. I wish you, joy, Shannon, because you deserve it. It is yours to claim. With love, Jenny
