Journal entry by shannon burton —
Today was hump day - I've had 6 treatments - two each day starting last Monday - 8:30 and 2:30 - So only have Thursday and Friday to go. Last one Friday is around noon then the radiology oncologist will take out the Savi device - and put a bandaid on it!! -
I will see the medical oncologist Monday in McKinney to learn protocol for what's next, i.e. follow up drug, etc.
These treatments have been easy and relatively painless - I feel so blessed, especially when I look around the waiting room at a lot of very sick patients. Thanks for your continued prayers, food, calls, encouragement - Special love to you all.
P.S. You DO NOT have to DONATE to caring bridge - I don't know why that keeps pop up! -
