Journal entry by Amy Craft —
Happy Monday!
I just wanted to provide one last update and let you all know that Shane has been home since Friday night and is doing great. He feels totally back to normal and so thankful to be home.
We still are not certain as to what happened as his EEG was also normal. We speculate that he may have had a seizure that was caused by viral meningitis. He remembers waking up in the tub to a flooded bathroom and think that rather than falling asleep he may have had a seizure.
For precautionary reasons, he will not be able to drive for three months and will have a follow up appointment in about 6 weeks with the neurologist.
The outcome of this situation could have been so much worse and we are so grateful that God was with him both protecting him and providing a full VERY fast recovery.
We both are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support over the past week and a half and cannot put into words how thankful we are for each and everyone of you that was praying and or reached out in one way or another.
All our love,
Amy & Shane
