Journal entry by Sevi Alvarez —

Today is World Cancer Day.

And yesterday was my 28th, and final, radiation treatment.

It hasn't been an easy journey so far, but I'm still standing. Next week I'll have a port surgically implanted into my chest, and then IV chemotherapy treatments begin on February 21st and will continue for four months.

I want to give a heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped or offered to help in any way. Even if you can't help in any of the ways I've listed, you should know that your emotional support is worth the world to my family and I. When I beat this thing (and I WILL beat it), it will be in part because of you.
