Many of you know how dedicated Linda was to the Flagstaff High School Choral Program. I would like to share with those that may not be as familiar with the depth at which she contributed to this program. Linda was a volunteer accompanist for well over a decade. Linda blessed the program with her time and immense musical talents through countless classroom rehearsals, endless dinner show rehearsals, community performances and concerts. She played for student auditions at Solo and Ensemble Festivals, as well as, Regional and All-State Choir Auditions. Linda met students after school and at her house to help them prepare for their auditions. She was always so very compassionate with every student with positive encouragement every step of the way. During performances I would be amazed at her intuition and musical responsiveness. If there was a glitch during a concert or dinner show all I would need to do is give Linda a slight signal and she would vamp beautifully at the keyboard until things got back on track. Linda was an amazing piano teacher and I cherish the recitals my wife and I attended when she was encouraging our two boys to learn piano basics. I will always be grateful for what started out as a musical relationship and developed into a sincere lasting friendship. Thank God for the Angels that are put in our lives.
