I only got to know Scott in April of this year when he started working with my son Matthew as a private coach, but they became very close very quickly. Scott worked with him sometimes 3-4 times a week, and he absolutely loved Matthew and would tell him repeatedly how he knew he'd be a special player. He completely transformed Matthew's mindset and convinced him he could succeed, and I will forever be grateful for getting to experience those seven weeks with him and my son, as the impact on our lives will be felt for years to come. He will truly be missed and I am honored to have known him, even for a short time.

Knew Steve in high school and met Scott in college when I was a WSU team trainer and through our mutual friend Brian Wilkes. The Pelluer family is stellar.
Scott was always smilimg, friendly and so kind to me. He was an ispiration with his faith and life. I remember a fun evening at Spaghetti factory in Spokane with He, Kim; Brian and myself before a concert.
I am so sorry for his loss here on Earth but thankful for the hope us believers have in Jesus Christ! Rest well good amd faithful servant! Prayers, comfort and love to Steve and the family!

Steve-

Most of you reading this likely knew Scott when he was an adult. I knew him when he was a teenager. He was a special human even as a young man.

Growing up across the street from the Pelluer family was one of the great joys of my childhood. The summer backyard footballs games caused a buzz in the entire neighborhood. We’d gather around, pick teams and play for hours. Grass stained and sweaty, my brothers and I knew you two would go on to be famous athletes. Scott with his imposing physique, big laugh and even bigger smile was always so kind and encouraging to the rest of us younger kids. He became a hero of sorts, watching him dominate in college football and then hearing he actually made it to the NFL! Very exciting to be sure. You and your career soon followed. Amazing.

Only a few summers later, your family packed up and moved to Seattle. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen you or your family since. However, over the years I’ve thought of you all many times. The early memories of those days and the impression both you and Scott left on me as a young kid is a source of gratitude. Hearing Scott is no longer with us leaves me feeling a great loss. His kindness and friendly spirit I will never forget. Prayers.

We are sending our deepest sympathy and prayers to Scott's family. We only recently met Scott and his wife through baseball. He was of the most encouraging people we have ever met. He shined a bright light. We are grateful to know he is now perfect in the arms of his Savior. Please let us know if we can help in any way.

Scott's Family and Friends-
Comfort and love to you all! Scott is now truly "Closer to Thee".
I am so grateful that Steve and Arnie were able to bring Jodee to Aunt Joyce's celebration of life on Saturday.
I do not believe solid food is needed though I can picture Grandma welcoming Scott to the Pelluer kitchen table with an endless plate of her Waffles!
All His Love!

Love you Scott! You were a great encourager and your energy and intensity took many to their highest, best selves. I first met you in the 9th grade at Odle Junior High as you were sent by Rollie to recruit football players into Interlake's football program. You were my captain on and off the field and your infectious leadership is your legacy to everyone your life touched. Love you Scott!
