Scott’s Story

Site created on July 25, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  Scott was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer mid-July 2018. On August 6, 2018, after furthering pathology it was determined that it is NOT in fact lung cancer but a germ cell tumor.  This is better news for prognosis and we are thankful.  It is an aggressive cancer around his bronchial tubes. Treatment of radiation and chemo has already started.  We are looking to Jesus the Great Physician as we proceed with the treatment plan.  Scott's desire is that God be glorified in our journey.

Journal entry by Scott and Carol Emig

Good morning.  We wanted to share a praise report this morning.  Scott had a routine scan yesterday and we got a call from the doctor last evening saying that everything looks stable.  Nothing new showing and what's there looks to be just dead tissue.  We are thankful for God's faithfulness and His healing.  We want, also, to say a huge thank you to all of you who have supported us in our cancer journey.  Without your prayer, food, monetary support, favors to us, cards and all the kind words it would have been a lonely time for us.  We commend you to God and to Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. (Eph 3:20-21)
