Scott’s Story

Site created on July 25, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  Scott was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer mid-July 2018. On August 6, 2018, after furthering pathology it was determined that it is NOT in fact lung cancer but a germ cell tumor.  This is better news for prognosis and we are thankful.  It is an aggressive cancer around his bronchial tubes. Treatment of radiation and chemo has already started.  We are looking to Jesus the Great Physician as we proceed with the treatment plan.  Scott's desire is that God be glorified in our journey.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Scott and Carol Emig

Good morning. Just a quick update to share…our doctor appt went well this past Tuesday.  Scan results show stability and no cause for concern. Lab/blood work all looked good as well. We got some exciting news…since we are 3 years past diagnosis, we can now stretch Scott’s scans out to 6 months. This means we don’t have to go back until December. We are thankful for this leap in our journey. We are ever thankful for God’s care to us and want still to remember others on this journey and other life struggles. May God be glorified in every trial. He is ALWAYS good. ❤️
