I have been sitting here trying to think of something to write since I read this unbelievably sad news. There are simply no words for this unimaginable loss of a great man who brought so much to this world. To say that Scottie was a stand-up guy is a huge understatement. You will be missed, my friend.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Scottie since 1985, when our family moved to Clearwater. Our parents still live next door to each other. Bud and Ann, Chet, and of course Christina and Jaime, please know that every member of the Kisiel, Renbarger, Trotto, Morris, Kisiel family is broken hearted for you all. I hope you know how many people love your family and are grieving this great loss with you. So many of us have great memories of Scottie and time spent with him. I still remember the day I met him, me a rising 8th grader and he a rising 7th grader. When our family moved in he walked down to our house, rang the doorbell, and after I opened the door, he introduced himself formally and with a firm handshake, more like a man than a pre-teen. He had not yet hit his “growth spurt” so his size was not yet commanding, but his personality and presence were already well intact. He seemed to know who he was and what he could bring to this world. I am grateful that during the holidays I was able to spend some time with him and Christina celebrating and catching up. We enjoyed the holiday cheer thoroughly and even called our parents who were miles away together at another holiday event. Sorry that call was so late Bud and Ann, but I am happy that I have that memory of him now.
Thinking of you all and wishing you peace.

Jaime and Christina, I am so sorry to hear of Scott’s passing. He had the sharpest sense of humor I’ve known. Here are some of our favorite jokes!

Good day mate!

Too many snouts in the ole trough!
Steve, get me a Gatorade sugar free!
Crikey!

Christina, I know he loved you.

Jaime , he was so proud of you and is. so looking forward to your next soccer stop! He will be there pulling for you.

He was so happy my son Carson was a Forrester.

He was my brother and I will miss him. So many people adored him. I’m thankful to have been able to share time with him.

I was devastated by the news; I didn't know Scott for that long, but for the time I did know him, he proved to be everything you said--funny, warm, smart, always a smile--and arms reaching out to help and support others. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your families...David Andalman
